Adept Automotive is both a local repair company, as well as a foundation that is being built to provide assistance to people who do not have prior training or the proper funds to take their car to a shop repeatedly for simple repairs. The goal is to help people not only save money but also learn valuable information about the automobile and automotive industry in the process.

When I originally started off in my career, my goal was to learn as much about the industry as possible, while never allowing myself to become stagnant in the process. I saw the type of guy I would turn into if I stayed at the same place too long, and I definitely did not want that.

Throughout my career, I have worked for and become certified with multiple manufacturer’s at dealerships, I have worked in diesel/truck and heavy equipment shops, I have worked in a city fleet shop, as well as a body shop and exhaust shop, and multiple independent shops. Throughout all of the different experiences, I have seen the ins and outs of almost every type of automotive repair shop out there.

At my last dealership, I was a mentor to two separate apprentices. It was after that when I decided to expand out and present all of the gained knowledge that I have to those who wish to receive it and learn more for themselves. Not everybody will want to try fixing a car, and that is perfectly okay.

There are a lot of repair procedures that can easily be learned with proper instruction and tools. I am are here to help offer assistance with these instructions as well as point you in the direction of your own affordable tool collection.

Granted there are some repairs that can only be performed with bigger shop equipment and tools, the majority can be done on your own with a little logic and aptitude for learning. Other than a frame swap, there isn’t much that I haven’t been able to do in my driveway if the circumstances made it so.

Automotive repair/modification can be extremely fun and rewarding if you approach it in the proper fashion. Go into it with the mindset that you are always being taught something new while applying the knowledge that you already have. Even while it is frustrating it will remain fun and challenging.
